An exploration in finding relevance.
What started out as a hobby, or better yet said, a way for Scott to honor the men and women he had worked with for 30 years has now turned into a thriving business that still honors the men and women he works/worked with while combining his wife’s passion for all things WINE.
To know us is to understand the name Ten Three Three, but to not know us, probably requires a little explanation. Scott began a career in law enforcement working at the county jail for 4 years until he was hired on by a local agency as a police officer. The badge itself is a symbol of dedication, hard work and a commitment to the community they serve, but the number on that badge means so much more. It represents when they were hired, who they were hired after and who was hired after them. It quickly becomes much more than just a number, it becomes who they are in that department. Years down the road others will ask “who has the badge number “ …. “ as mine is exactly 100 more in the order of things and if someone is lucky enough to be around long enough, they might even experience someone 200 badges a part. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, Scott’s badge number is/was 1033. When he retired from the local police force, that badge number retired too. There will never be another 1033 at that department and that is so fitting. My heart belongs to 1033 and my life belongs to Ten Three Three.
So now that you hopefully understand the idea behind our name, it is important to understand the WHY behind our business. To be continued…….
